OGG - Operators, Graphs, Groups he Hardy-Littlewood maximal inequality is a fundamental inequality for a maximal operator for an L^1 functions on Euclidean spaces.Naor-Tao gave an interesting geometric proof of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal inequality for a free group. I will explain that their argument applies to hyperbolic groups. This is a joint work with Amos Nevo. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
