SSDW03 - Geometry, occupation fields, and scaling limits

Random interlacements model the behavior of random walks starting from infinity on a transient graph. We will explore the local uniqueness property of interlacements, that is the existence of a unique local connected component , and discuss its implications regarding percolation for random interlacements. We will also present applications of interlacements to the study of the capacity of random walks, as well as to percolation for the Gaussian free field on discrete graphs or on the cable system.
