TWTW01 - Twistors in Geometry & Physics

There is a conjectural procedure which uses the Donaldson-Thomas invariants of a sufficiently nice Calabi-Yau category to build a complex hyperkahler manifold. So far this is a long way from being a rigorous mathematical story, but there are some nice examples and plenty of unsolved problems. I will discuss some of these in the talk.  This is partly based on joint work with Ian Strachan.

This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
