If you have a question about this talk, please contact Fiona Roby.

In this talk I will outline developments over the last year within scientific facilities and platforms at the School of the Biological Sciences (SBS) with an emphasis on providing a practical update to access, organisation and future strategic direction. SBS currently includes around 40 facilities recharging for services that involve around 100 staff and 50 full time posts loosely organised across departments and institutes and, in some cases, separated geographically. Bringing a greater awareness of what facilities we have available and how they interact has the potential to significantly improve both access and sustainability in specialised services and collaborations that underpin much of the SBS academic vision. I will also place this project in context with other relevant projects at West Cambridge and in the central University, highlighting how we are joining up areas of activity to avoid incompatibility or duplication of effort.

This talk is part of the Friday Morning Seminars, Dept of Veterinary Medicine series.
