USM - Uncertainty quantification and stochastic modelling of materials This seminar is aimed primarily at fostering a discussion of the challenges and opportunities associated with improving inclusion and diversity in the physical sciences – and how doing so is everyone’s responsibility. I will give a brief talk to introduce the session that describes a bit about my own research as an experimental soft matter physicist alongside a personal reflection of how my own career progression has danced around becoming a champion for inclusion and diversity. I’ll finish my introduction with some quite shocking statistics and offer a starting point for the discussion. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
