OASW05 - OAS Follow on: Operator Algebras: Subfactors and Applications

I’ll discuss a new class of operator algebras — tracially complete C-algebras.  In spirit these provide a bridge between stably finite C-algebras and finite von Neumann algebras.  In this talk, I’ll introduce tracially complete C-algebras and discuss structure and classification results for these, and how they related to those for von Neumann algebras and C-algebras.  This is joint work with Carrion, Castillejos, Evington, Gabe, Schafhauser and Tikuisis. .
