If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. MWSW01 - Canonical scattering problems We all love a bit of Complex Analysis, and to me this is exemplified in the Unified Transform (UT) method (also known as the Fokas method). This talk will introduce this method, in application to wave scattering by a finite plate, as is typically solved via the Wiener-Hopf (WH) equation. The relationship between the UT and WH methods will be discussed alongside examples of where the UT can be applied where WH may struggle to provide rapid and accurately computed solutions. This presentation will include work undertaken by myself and collaborators Shiza Naqvi, Matthew Colbrook, and Matthew Priddin. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
