AR2W03 - Applicable resurgent asymptotics: summary workshop

1: The (Berry) smoothing of the normal Stokes phenomenon is well known. In the first part of this talk we discuss the smoothing of the higher-order Stokes phenomenon. 2: Model parabolic and pseudoparabolic PDEs will be studied, motivated by applications to wavefront propagation. The roles of exponentially small terms will be highlighted, with a particular focus on the implications of coincident Stokes lines and on the higher-order Stokes phenomenon. The examples will illustrate some of the complications arising for PDEs beyond those associated with ODEs.
