HY2W04 - Statistical mechanics, integrability and dispersive hydrodynamics
We argue that the Lax matrix encodes the classical analogue of Bethe quasiparticles in classical integrable systems. We use the resulting “Bethe-Lax correspondence’’ to derive a quasiparticle kinetic theory for the classical Toda and Calogero models, which passes stringent numerical tests.
