UMCW06 - Microbial communities: current approaches and open challenges

Anaerobic digestion (AD) uses mixed microbial communities to recover resources from organic waste.  Here I will discuss the ‘omics approaches we are using to understand how these communities change over time and in response to changes in the composition of feedstocks.
