KA2W03 - Mathematical physics: algebraic cycles, strings and amplitudes Cluster varities of Fock-Goncharov are varieties with a toric atlas constructed from a seed torus and a combinatorial process called mutation. The Grassmannian Gr(4,n) has structure of a cluster variety and also encodes the kinematic space of some flavors of n particle N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. I will breifly recall how cluster monomials appear as amplitude symbols and as cannonical basis elements when the Grassmannian is of finite mutation type (n This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
