If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. FKTW05 - Frontiers in numerical analysis of kinetic equations I will survey some results concerning the use of geometric integrators for Vlasov equations, based on the underlying Hamiltonian structure. I will show how high orders integrators can be derived and also discuss the long time behavior of the exact and numerical solutions which is driven by damping phenomena.
