Quadratic Differentials, Spectral Networks and Non-Abelianization

We will give a short introduction on the theory of quadratic differentials over Riemann surfaces and discuss how this relates to the non-Abelianization problem. If we have time left, we will discuss how Non-abelianization relates to other parts of mathematics and physics, namely Floer theory.
