FKTW02 - Frontiers in analysis of kinetic equations The first rigorous derivation of the wave kinetic equation, at the kinetic timescale, has been established recently in a joint work with Yu Deng (University of Southern California). In a follow-up work, we also gave a justification of the propagation of chaos hypothesis, as well as the limit dynamics of the higher order moments and the probability density function of the solution. We shall discuss this progress, as well as some other new results in wave kinetic theory that were established in collaboration with Ricardo Grande (University of Michigan and ENS , Paris).
