If you have a question about this talk, please contact Suzanne Boone. Owing to the attitude of taking selfies, the first two decades of the twenty-first century has seen a remarkable advancement of smartphone camera technology. Today, more people can take a selfie anytime and anywhere than measure their vital signs such as heart rate or blood pressure- more than 25% of the population has clinically elevated blood pressure, a major modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease. PERFEXIA ’s DocMe app addresses this problem by democratising access to a medical-grade vital signs measurement tool by people taking a selfie. DocMe brings essential health information in one place and can facilitate a faster, more comprehensive clinical assessment of a patient. In this talk, the presenter will share her experience developing and validating DocMe. This talk is part of the Sensors CDT seminars series. This talk is included in these lists:
