Meyer Jackson, Kenneth Cole Professor of Physiology at the University of Wisconsin, will be illustrating a number of fascinating approaches to the analysis and imaging of the nervous system. The biophysical techniques used by Prof Jackson range from patch-clamping to voltage-sensing dyes and allow to investigate neuronal circuitry live and in action, both on the molecular and the whole-brain level.
