The Cambridge Mathematics Placements (CMP) lunchtime seminar series provides information on research projects available for summer 2020 outside the CMS . The following projects will be presented on 10th February 2020:
  1. Modelling carbon sequestration in trees through reducing the complexity of a cell-based approach-Dr Andrew D. Friend, Department of Geography.
  2. Dynamic models for zoonotic viruses in bats-Dr. Olivier Restif, Department of Veterinary Medicine.
  3. Sampling in nonlinear spaces with applications to information engineering-Dr. Cyrus Mostajeran, Engineering Department.
  4. Deep Learning of Casualty from Batch Effects in Genomic Data-Jeremy England/Finnian Firth, GSK .
  5. Understanding & prediction of process failure using time-series data-Georgina Armstrong, GSK Biopharm Process Research.
  6. Filtering for Trend Following Strategies-Dr Silvia Stanescu, Cantab Capital Partners.
