The Cambridge Mathematics Placements (CMP) lunchtime seminar series provides information on research projects available for summer 2020 outside the CMS . The following projects will be presented on 5th February 2020:
  1. Mathematical Finance in the Energy Sector-Lee Momtahan, Centrica Energy Marketing and Trading.
  2. Towards an operational quality metric for volcanic ash detection-Dr. Joelle Buxmann, Dr. Debbie O’Sullivan and Martin Osborne, Observations Research & Development, the Met Office.
  3. Data Re-Use in Clinical Trials: The development of a Shiny application-Dr Doug Thompson, GSK , Biostatistics.
  4. Normalization of NGS data in a Data Lake-Giovanni Dall’Olio, Data Computational Sciences.
  5. Discrete-continuum modelling of transport in tumours-Dr Paul Sweeney, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.
