If you have a question about this talk, please contact Peter Robinson. Eye gaze controlled interfaces allow control of a user interface by following users’ eye gaze. This talk will present three case studies on eye gaze controlled systems for automotive, aviation and assistive user interface design. Our research involved developing intelligent algorithms to control augmented and virtual reality based user interfaces through eye gaze of users and automatically estimate cognitive load from ocular parameters. Our proposed solutions involve state space search algorithms and comparison among different machine learning models. I shall briefly describe applications on developing an interactive Head Up Display for cars in collaboration with Faurecia Group, eye gaze controlled Head Mounted Display system development in collaboration with Indian Air Force and various Indian defense agencies and inclusive communication aid and human robot interface design for users with severe speech and motor impairment in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation.
