DNM - The mathematical design of new materials In order to explore common research interests with other participants, I sketch various results on the derivation of effective limit models for meta-materials with micro-resonators: Arrays of small Helmholtz resonators in acoustics, plasmonic wave induced perfect transmission, and Maxwells equations in negative index meta-materials. I conclude with some comments on cloaking by localized resonance near negative index materials. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
