If you have a question about this talk, please contact INI IT. SIPW02 - Ice-fluid interaction Nonlinear waves travelling under an elastic sheet are considered. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid and incompressible and the flow to be irrotational. The sheet is modelled by using the theory of Plotnikov and Toland. The problem is solved by boundary integral equation methods and series truncation approaches. Periodic waves, solitary waves and generalised solitary waves are considered. Special attention is devoted to asymmetric waves. Time dependent solutions are also presented. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
