NPCW01 Nonpositive curvature in action
Let G be a group and H a subgroup of G. We will present a criterion for H to be convex in G for some leftorder. We will give several examples of groups on which maximal cyclic subgroups are always convex (for some order). We will also discuss the orderability of some groups acting on trees. This is a joint work with W. Dicks and Z. Sunic.
