If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr. Piotr Tourkine.

This talk will begin with a review of some elementary and not so elementary features of perturbative superstring amplitudes, emphasising connections with mathematical features that also arise in the analysis of dimensionally regularised quantum field theory. The second half of the talk will review the non-perturbative aspects of low order terms in low energy expansion of graviton amplitudes, including the manner in which they reproduce the perturbative results and how such amplitudes can be used to count degeneracies of BPS states.

This talk is part of the Quantum Fields and Strings Seminars series.
