If you have a question about this talk, please contact Joe Waldron. The talk will give a brief introduction to homological stability and explain the main ingredients required to prove theorems in this area of algebraic topology. We will introduce braid groups in several different ways and after showing how these are connected, we will prove homological stability for this specific case.
