One way to study symplectic manifolds is through their Lagrangian submanifolds, which are in turn studied through the holomorphic discs they bound. Counts of such discs are key ingredients in Floer theory but are in general extremely difficult to compute. The aim of this talk is to describe how in the presence of a large amount of symmetry one can classify all discs of Maslov index 2: a purely topological condition.
