BID - Quantum field theory with boundaries, impurities, and defects I will present the proof of a conjectured relation between the energy-momentum tensor and the displacement norm of all superconformal defects. I will discuss implications for the definition of an invariant tension in Anti-de Sitter gravity, and for the radiation-reaction problem for moving charges.
