GCLW01 - Modular Lie theory

Actions of finite groups on algebraic curves I’ll talk about steadied quotients of KLRW algebras, generalizationsof cyclotomic quotients where strands with different labels can be “pressured” in opposite directions. Thesegive a new approach to understanding the blocks of symmetric groups and their allied algebras (Ariki-Koike,Schur, etc.) up to Morita equivalence, with a particular affinity to making Scopes equivalences manifest, and giving a preferred representative of each Morita equivalence class. Based on joint work with Dinushi Munasinghe.
