If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. OGGW02 - Actions on graphs and metric spaces I will describe an old unpublished preprint by Misha Kapovich about coherence of fundamental groups of complex surfaces, and then survey several works by various authors that subsequently used complex geometry methods to study finiteness properties of subgroups of fundamental groups of smooth projective varieties.
