TGAW02 - C*-algebras: classification and dynamical constructions In this talk that is based on joint work with Paul Muhly we present groupoid techniques that allow us to provide new proofs of the famous theorems of Mallat on multiresolution analyses, proofs that extend to much broader contexts than those conceived by Mallat. One key tool that we use in our project is the concepts of groupoid correspondences and induced representations of groupods. This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
