In this talk, I will present recent developments and ongoing work aimed at extending the holographic correspondence beyond the conformality. A central focus will be on holographic dualities involving Dp-branes with $p\neq3$. I will start by reviewing the gravitational duals to their worldvolume theories, i.e. maximally supersymmetric Yang–Mills (MSYM) theories in $d\neq4$ and highlight a set of precise tests supporting the proposed dualities. By analytically continuing these setups in dimension, I will demonstrate how the limit $p\rightarrow 0$ grants access to novel observables in the BMN matrix quantum mechanics. Time permitting, I will outline upcoming research directions that go beyond maximal supersymmetry and incorporate more general observables, such as holographic correlators.

This talk is part of the Quantum Fields and Strings Seminars series.
