In this talk, we will discuss subgroups of right-angled Artin groups and more precisely how the finiteness properties of the subgroup determine a tame structure and good algorithmic behaviour. More concretely, we will present a generalisation of Schreier’s theorem to finitely generated normal subgroups of RAA Gs and use it to study subdirect products of (the direct product of) RAA Gs. This is joint work with Jone Lopez de Gamiz.

This talk is part of the Geometric Group Theory (GGT) Seminar series.
