The McKay correspondence and GITAdd to your list(s) Download to your calendar using vCal
If you have a question about this talk, please contact Siao Chi Mok. The classical McKay correspondence is an observation relating properties of finite subgroups G of SL(C2) to the minimal (crepant) resolutions of the singularities C2/G. From a modern perspective this is obtained from a derived equivalence between the minimal resolution and the orbifold C2/G. We will provide an introduction to the McKay correspondence and GIT . Finally we will discussĀ an unresolved question recently posed by Abdelgadir-Segal on the existence of a GIT problem which produces all possible crepant partial resolutions (as orbifolds) of C2/G via variation of GIT quotient.
