TWTW01 - Twistors in Geometry & Physics

The Parke-Taylor formula is an explicit expression for tree-level gluon scattering in four-dimensions in a maximal helicity violating configuration. The existence of this remarkable formula is explained by the fact that classical Yang-Mills theory admits a perturbative expansion around the self-dual sector, which can be manifested using twistor theory. In this talk, I will describe how generalizations of the Parke-Taylor formula can be found for tree-level gluon scattering in spacetime with dimension an integer multiple of four. This utilizes a perturbative expansion of gauge theory around the classically integrable hyperholomorphic sector, which generalizes the self-dual sector to higher-dimensions and also admits a twistor description.
