The theory of hydrodynamic limits allows one to rigorously derive
partial differential equations as a many-particle limit of an underlying
stochastic Markov process. In this talk I will present the basic
concepts of the theory and show my own work regarding to the derivation
of PDEs that exhibit chemotaxis-like behaviour.
