USM - Uncertainty quantification and stochastic modelling of materials I present an overview of our attempts to model the recently-discovered phenomenon of electroreception, which is the ability of some arthropods (e.g., bees) to detect electric fields in the environment. We investigate how arthropods detect electric fields and explore ways they might use this sensory knowledge. This is joint work with Daniel Robert and Ryan Palmer.
