RNT - Rich and Nonlinear Tomography - a multidisciplinary approach An integral geometry problem of reconstructing a potential part of 3D symmetric tensor field is considered under the condition that values of the normal Radon transform are known. Properties of the normal Radon transform are investigated and a singular value decomposition of the operator is obtained. The orthogonal bases in original and image spaces are constructed using the Jacobi polynomials, the Gegenbauer polynomials and the spherical harmonics. Based on the decomposition the polynomial expression for the (pseudo)inverse operator is obtained. Authors: Ivan Svetov, Anna Polyakova.
