BLHW01 - Number theory, machine learning and quantum black holes

Calabi-Yau links provide a real 7-dimensional extension of complex Calabi-Yau 3-folds, with natural Sasakian and G2-structures. In this work a large database of Calabi-Yau links are constructed, and relevant topological invariants computed. Analysis of the invariant distributions suggest new conjectures about Calabi-Yau links, motivating investigation with machine learning techniques to predict these invariants, uncovering new mathematical structure bypassing expensive Groebner basis computations.
