AR2W02 - Mathematics of beyond all-orders phenomena

The classical discrete orthogonal polynomials (Charlier, Meixner, Kravchuk, Hahn) are part of a bigger class, known as discrete semiclassical. In this talk, we will present some backround on the theory of discrete semiclassical polynomials, and show asymptotic approximations when the degree of the polynomials is large.

This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
