GRA2 - Groups, representations and applications: new perspectives It has been recently proven that the number of irreducible characters lying in the principal p-block of a group of order divisible by p can be bounded from below in terms of the prime p. Relying on this result we show that, under the same assumptions, that lower bound also applies to the number of height-zero characters lying in the principal block. This is joint work with N.
