FKTW05 - Frontiers in numerical analysis of kinetic equations

Moment methods generate Friedrichs systems of variable dimension which can be used to approximate Vlasov equations. After a review of some theoretical result for the infinite dimensional case, the focus will be on the mathematical structure of ongoing numerical development for magnetized 3D Vlasov equations based on anisotropic Hermite  local basis.
