FKT - Frontiers in kinetic theory: connecting microscopic to macroscopic scales - KineCon 2022 We will revisit Newton’s classical laws of motion and gravitation through several examples: from the well posedness of differential equations to the large scale behavior of so-called many-particle systems, both from the numerical and analytical point of view. Those examples illustrate the relevance in many current mathematical questions of the classical dynamics of point masses originally introduced by Newton This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
