In this talk, I will discuss the symmetry enhancement of a class of 4d N=1 theories and its relations to the duality and the chiral ring relation of marginal operators. Using those relations as guiding principles, I find a new family of 4d N=1 USp(2n) theories enjoying interesting symmetry enhancement in the IR. Those models are constructed with one traceless antisymmetric and eight fundamental chiral multiplets, and extra gauge singlets interacting via particular superpotentials. I will show they exhibit emergent IR symmetries including E6, SO(10), SO(9), SO(8) and F4. This talk is part of the Quantum Fields and Strings Seminars series. This talk is included in these lists:
