If you have a question about this talk, please contact INI IT. GRAW02 - Computational and algorithmic methods I will sketch how to compute Brauer character values of a group of Lie type in its defining characteristic. The method uses weight multiplicities of irreducible representation of the underlying algebraic group, parameterizations of semisimple conjugacy classes of the finite groups, and ad hoc arguments to relate the resulting table with the ordinary character table of the finite group.
