Mathematics and Physics of Anderson localization: 50 Years After

An important application for hyperbolic Hubbard-Stranonovich transformations is the derivation of hyperbolic sigma models. We will explain the Schaefer-Wegner and Pruisken-Schaefer variants of the transformation. Until recently the mathematical status of the latter was unclear. We will give a proof of the Pruisken-Schaefer variant of the transformation, and clarify the connection to the Schaefer-Wegner variant
