I will give a brief description and a daring live demo of using docker containers. Containers are a technology somewhat similar to Virtual Machines (VM), but much more lightweight, reusing the same kernel process as the machine they are running on. As a result, they are faster to boot up, and have many potential uses. They allow you to encapsulate an entire “system” in a single “image”, making it possible to share complex software stacks with relatively inexperienced users.
