This talk describes recent progress in describing ballistic
molecular conduction twith the source-and-sink-potential
(SSP) model, an approach due originally to Ernzerhof.
SSP gives a broad classification of conduction behaviour
at the graph theoretical level, and slection rules and intuitive
descriptions that remain useful at higher levels of theory.
This talk is part of the Theory - Chemistry Research Interest Group series.
