This seminar will cover two different topics. The first part discusses a couple of interesting multivariate visualisations which could be used as part of any data analysis: parallel coordinates and the grand tour. The second part gives an overview of the searches for a heavy resonance, such as a Z’, decaying into electrons and muons using the 13 TeV data collected by the CMS experiment in 2015 and 2016. These results will be compared to those from the ATLAS experiment.
This talk is part of the Cavendish HEP Seminars series.
