Lunch Provided The UK, along with the rest of the world, is facing an unprecedented set of challenges: a rapid transition to a low carbon energy system, climate change, technological advancement and demographic change to name but a few. Successful responses demand that we think differently about how we use land, create places, deliver infrastructure and generate growth. These challenges place us at an exciting point in history. By bringing together business, academia, the public sector and communities we have the opportunity to solve these problems in ways that are socially equitable and environmentally sustainable whilst ensuring that the economy works for us. This session will explore these issues and the opportunities for using our built environments, landscapes and infrastructure in different ways and the delivery mechanisms we have at our disposal to make change happen. Rob leads LDA Design’s Futures and Solar teams. Rob works with public, private and community sectors to help them understand the spatial and organisational implications of change. Rob has also led some of the largest and most challenging of renewable energy projects across the UK on behalf of many of the most successful developers.
