The dominant production mode of the Higgs boson at the LHC is the gluon fusion channel. Current theoretical uncertainties on the total cross section in this channel are estimated around 10% purely from missing higher order corrections, although recent progress has hinted that this number may have been underestimated. I will discuss possible sources of uncertainty and report on progress towards reducing these by determining the cross section at N3LO in perturbative QCD in the infinite top mass limit.
