We study the long-time behaviour of closed quantum systems under temporally periodic global driving, arguably the simplest deviation from equilibrium. Drawing inspiration from current understanding of equilibration and thermalisation in closed quantum systems with a time-independent Hamiltonians we study the long-time behaviour of free, interacting and (many-body) localised systems under periodic driving.
